The 16th Annual Exceptional Women of Color (EWOC) Awards & Expo presented by the Sac Cultural Hub Media Foundation will take place on Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 5 pm to 9 pm. It is our mission to continue recognizing women throughout Northern California for accomplishments in their communities and professional affiliations as well as providing a platform for networking, mentorship, leadership and career development. This year’s event will be streamed live as we continue our strategic and massive reach to women of color with education, training, and digital tools to survive and succeed in the future.
This year’s EWOC 2024 program will include a host of activities:
- Keynote Presentation
- Onsite Vendor Expo Pavilion
- 2024 EWOC Excellent Awards Presentation
- 2024 Young Women of Color Scholarship Awards
- Virtual Exhibitor Showcase & Sponsor Showroom
Our program has been developed to lead the Northern California EWOC Initiative in partnership with corporate and community partners to create an environment for peer-to-peer coaching/networking and solutions surrounding three pillars of our annual program:
EXEMPLIFY LEADERSHIP – We encourage our attendees to take action and serve as visible examples that future generations can emulate. Being a leader is a goal that, once achieved, needs to be reinforced and continuously fostered.
EMPOWER – For women of color who are working toward the C-Suite, leadership status, or entrepreneurship level, we’ve developed a program with a focus on solidifying business acumen, confidence, and communication.
EDUCATE – It’s imperative to understand that though female leaders are gaining ground in some areas, there is an extreme deficit of women and girls of color who are seeking STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) related careers. If we don’t take action, we have no one to blame but ourselves for the lack of diversity in the IT talent pool.
For the past 15 years, the success of the EWOC program has depended on our Program Team Leadership, our Board of Directors, and our EWOC Advisory Committee along with its corporate sponsors and community partners.
If your organization is interested in partnering with the Sac Cultural Hub Media Foundation to participate as a sponsor or exhibitor and supporting women and girls of color in leadership and mentorship, please contact us at (916) 234-3589 or e-mail at contact@sacculturalhub.com.
